Hi! My name is Hanna, and I’m glad you’re here! I know that searching for a therapist can be a challenging process, and it takes courage to reach out. My hope is to share a little bit about myself and my approach to counseling so that you can decide if we might work well together.

I was raised here in the Pacific Northwest, and I spent most of my growing-up years lost in books. Eventually I realized that I was simply interested in people and their stories – as humans, we have an amazing ability to find patterns and meaning all across our lives, which I think is what most literature is about. I decided to go into counseling when I started to see how those patterns shape the ways we think, feel, and act out our stories. Noticing these things – and learning how to offer myself compassion – changed how I show up in my life, and I wanted to help others on their own journeys to deeper authenticity.

I firmly believe that you are the expert on your life and your story. My approach to counseling is very collaborative, and together we can look at underlying beliefs, narratives, and patterns of attachment that may be influencing your life today and find ways to tend to those areas. While we often think of counseling as a mental exercise, our bodies hold wisdom and experience, and my hope is to help you build that mind-body awareness throughout the counseling process as well. I look forward to the possibility of meeting you, learning more about your story, and finding ways we can bring more health, healing, and wholeness into your life.
