Annalise Reinhardt

Do you feel like you need a safer space to be unapologetically yourself? It takes courage to meet oneself with the witness of another. With warmth, humor, creativity and compassion, we will work together to build upon your strengths and support your present intentions for your therapy and self-development.

I invite my clients to engage in a therapeutic relationship centered in curiosity, transparency, collaboration, and authenticity. My style is eclectic, ensuring that we learn and apply practices that resonate and are most supportive to your goals. Sometimes that can look like mind-body therapeutic approaches for grounding, emotional regulation, and integration of experiences. Other times mind mapping or writing, problem-solving together, or exploring an experience or emotion through creative processes, such as visual art, movement, theater, and/or music.

After living and working internationally as an educator, expressive arts facilitator, and mental health counselor working with socioculturally diverse communities in South Korea and Mexico, life transitions and cross-cultural work are passion areas, as I know these growth edges well. Change can be so inspiring and liberating a concept, and so difficult to do without the encouragement, affirmation, and emotional support that we all need and deserve.

Cultural humility is an ethic that guides my work as a bilingual (English/EspaƱol) white, neurodivergent expressive arts therapist working cross-culturally with adolescents (14+) and adults. I hold training in trauma-informed, mind-body, and evidence-based therapies, such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, and Expressive Arts Therapy. As a relational-cultural therapist, I aim to provide trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, integrative therapies in a therapeutic alliance grounded in compassion and empowerment.

Working collaboratively together, we will take a holistic approach to processing experiences, organizing and clarifying thoughts and emotions, and strengthening your connections with self and others. As a Professional Counselor Associate at Sakura Counseling, I offer integrative mental health counseling, somatic therapies, and expressive arts therapy to adolescents (14-19) and adults.
