Raina MacDonell

Welcome! My name is Raina. I use She/Her pronouns. In a rapidly changing world where fear, and uncertainty are pervasive, choosing to orient toward healing and connection is an act of resistance and courage. I’m innately curious and endlessly fascinated by humans and our existence here on earth. This curiosity fuels my commitment to integrative, attuned, and compassionate care.

I offer a grounded collaborative container where your inner wisdom is honored, and respected, and your experience is met with an inclusive presence. My approach is shaped by years of personal healing, creative exploration, contemplative practice, and a respect for the body’s intrinsic intelligence. I view therapy as a collaborative journey, walking alongside you on a path to reconnect with what feels most true, alive, and whole within yourself.

My therapeutic style is relational, somatic, and mindfulness-based, and informed by transpersonal counseling, Internal Family Systems, Hakomi, and Gestalt Therapy. I offer a compassionate container that supports nervous system regulation, self-exploration, and embodiment. My work is holistic and non-pathologizing, honoring the connection between body, mind, and spirit.

My path is rooted in personal experience living with chronic illness and seeking integrative approaches to healing. When conventional care offered limited support, I turned toward holistic practices and pursued a degree in Functional Nutrition. Nature, community, yoga, meditation, somatic movement, and creative expression became central to my healing process. These lived experiences, combined with formal training in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, allow me to hold space as a fellow traveler on the path of self-discovery.

I’m drawn to working with individuals navigating chronic illness, accumulative stress, trauma, and the complex interrelationship between body and mind. People have an inherent capacity to heal, and attuned, supportive relationships help that capacity flourish. My approach is heart-centered and trauma-informed, offering a safe space for exploring your inner landscape.

I hold a deep belief in your wholeness and in the possibility of healing and growth through compassion and authentic connection. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. It is a true honor to be considered for your journey, and if these words resonate with you, I would be honored to join you on your path to empowerment and healing.
