Welcome, I’m Cierra (she/her). I am grateful that you are seeking support. We don’t always ask for a lot of what life gives us, but I believe we can reclaim authorship over the parts of life within your own reach, find meaning, and peace.
As a black woman who holds multiple marginalized identities and grew up in the Portland area, I understand deeply the weight that oppression and trauma can carry, and the loneliness it can create. I am passionate about working with individuals, families and couples to navigate emotion regulation, trauma, identity, and life transitions. I aim to hold space that can allow you to feel safe, seen, and unconditionally accepted. My style is warm and empathetic. My focus is BIPOC, disabled, queer, and other marginalized identities. I welcome people of all identities.
We will work on your story and how we define our lives through our learned history. My job is to help you get to the root of why you are here. Life can be hard, and often we need to get to the root of the problem rather than just trimming the weeds. From there we can have a more specific approach to healing and transforming.
Maybe you want to start somewhere else to build, or not approach the process in that way. My goal is to aid in your goals for your life, and there are many interchangeable approaches I can take based on your needs and wants. I will help hold and unpack what is weighing on you, walk alongside your journey at your pace. My approach to therapy is to honor and serve the whole human. I work from a humanistic and equity based lens, recognizing that with each unique life can require personally tailored care. I primarily integrate Somatic Therapy, Narrative Therapy (NT), Psychodynamic Therapy (PDT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT).
If this feels right for you, I look forward to working together and walking alongside your healing.
