Raina MacDonell

Welcome. My name is Raina. I use she/her pronouns. In a rapidly changing world where fear and uncertainty are pervasive, choosing to orient toward healing and connection can be an act of courage. I offer a grounded, compassionate container for individuals navigating chronic health challenges, anxiety, trauma, and the complex relationship between body and mind.

My work is inclusive and affirming of all identities, orientations, and cultural backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ individuals and communities. My approach is informed by contemplative practice, creativity, and a deep respect for the body’s innate wisdom. I support clients in reconnecting with their inner resources, resilience, and sense of wholeness.

My therapeutic style is relational, somatic, and mindfulness-based, and informed by transpersonal counseling, Internal Family Systems, and Gestalt Therapy. Together, we focus on practices that support nervous system regulation, self-exploration, and embodiment. My work is holistic and non-pathologizing, honoring the connection between body, mind, and spirit.

My path is rooted in personal experience living with chronic illness and seeking integrative approaches to healing. When conventional care offered limited support, I turned toward holistic practices and pursued a degree in Functional Nutrition. Nature, community, meditation, movement, and creative expression became central to my healing process. These lived experiences, combined with formal training in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, allow me to hold space as a fellow traveler on the path of self-discovery.

I believe each person has an inherent capacity for healing, and that attuned, supportive relationships help that capacity flourish. My approach is heart-centered and trauma-informed, offering a safe space for exploring your inner landscape. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. If these words resonate with you, I would be honored to support you on your journey.
