Saba

Hello! My name is Saba. As a relational therapist, I deeply believe in the transformative power of community and connection. In a world that often dictates who we should be, I offer a space where you are invited to explore and embrace who you truly are. Together, we will identify and work through the barriers that hinder your growth, empowering you to make meaningful changes and fully embrace all aspects of yourself and your relationships.

My approach is grounded in the understanding that relationships are dynamic and ever-evolving, requiring ongoing care, empathy, and dedication to flourish. I aim to cultivate a supportive environment where couples can authentically listen, discover new ways of engaging, and deepen their connection. Through exploring desires, addressing conflicts, and practicing new ways of being together, we pave the way for mutual understanding and collective growth.

In our sessions, I integrate Experiential and Narrative Therapies, embodied practices, and strengths-based approaches to support you in exploring and expressing yourself. I aim to help you find empowering ways to tell your story, deepen your connection with your body and emotions, and honor your unique strengths. My approach is enriched by my experiences as a mixed-race (Black/white), bicultural (Ethiopian/American) woman, giving me insight into the complexities of identity and the impact of intersecting systems of oppression on our lives. Many of us struggle to find a definitive place of belonging within the rigid structures society imposes, and I firmly believe in the transformative power of therapy as a sanctuary for self-reclamation and liberation.

My hope is that we can dream together of what might emerge from our collective experiences of living between worlds, and beyond the confines of a binary existence. I come to our sessions with empathy, humility, curiosity, transparency, and playfulness. Whether you’re seeking to heal from trauma, develop deeper connections in your relationships, or find greater joy and purpose in your life, my aim is for you to leave therapy with a strengthened connection to yourself and your relationships.
