Collective Grief
Collective grief is felt in response to the collective suffering, tragedies, and conflicts witnessed globally. Collective grief stems from a sense of empathy and connection to the pain and suffering experienced by others. It can bring up a mix of emotions including sadness, helplessness, anger, and frustration.
Objectives
This therapy group aims to provide a safe space for individuals to explore and process their responses to collective grief stemming from global events. Through discussion, art therapy, and reflection, participants will navigate complex emotions, build resilience, and explore coping strategies.
What to Expect
- Art activities every session to help process the content of the session.
- Open discussion, encouraging sharing and reflection among participants.
- Focusing on emotion and experience over political views.
- Psychoeducation on how these emotions impact our lives and how to address them.
