Mental Health Resources for the Iranian-American Community

For many Iranian and Persian-speaking individuals in the diaspora, finding mental health resources that honor language, culture, and lived experience can be an important part of healing. In the context of ongoing political tensions and the collective stress that many in the Iranian community may be carrying, access to culturally responsive mental health support is especially important. We recognize the impact that political unrest, displacement, and intergenerational trauma can have on emotional well-being, and we stand in solidarity with Iranian communities navigating these challenges. The following organizations and initiatives are dedicated to supporting the Iranian-American community through culturally responsive mental health education, peer support, and access to Persian-speaking clinicians. From nonprofit advocacy groups to peer counseling helplines and virtual wellness platforms, these resources help reduce stigma, increase accessibility, and foster connection for individuals and families seeking culturally attuned care.
