Mindfulness is more than a buzzword; it’s a transformative practice that helps you focus on the present moment with acceptance and without judgment. The course also includes group discussions, offering a supportive space to share experiences, gain insight, and build a sense of community.

No previous experience with meditation is required.

Beginners will learn short, effective techniques for reducing stress and anxiety, while experienced practitioners can enjoy community engagement through CBT, addressing these issues in daily life.

  • We accept insurance, or sessions are $15 each

      • Weekly Thursday meetings 5 – 6 pm
  • You can still join after the start date
  • The group will be running for 7 weeks
  • Looking for 6-8 participants ages 18+

Curriculum Overview

  • Session 1: Introduction to mindfulness and meditation for anxiety.
  • Session 2: Deepening awareness through meditation.
  • Session 3: Practicing self-compassion in addressing anxiety.
  • Session 4: Breathing techniques for present-moment focus.
  • Session 5: Loving-kindness meditation and fostering compassion.
  • Session 6: Introduction to emotional regulation.
  • Session 7: Integrating mindfulness practices.

Facilitators

Evan and Jamal, both counselors in training, combine extensive experience in meditation and mindfulness to help clients address anxiety and foster healing. Evan integrates Eastern and Western techniques for self-compassion and growth, while Jamal, drawing from his personal journey post-military service, offers a compassionate perspective to guide clients towards resilience and inner peace.
