Hamda

In our increasingly interconnected world, relationships often bridge divides, whether they are of countries, cultures, or the complex layers within our own communities. Navigating these intersections can be both a beautiful and challenging experience for couples and individuals alike. As someone attuned to the nuances of diverse backgrounds, I’m passionate about working with couples and individuals who find themselves at these crossroads. Whether you’re blending traditions, navigating the complexities of bi-cultural identities, or embarking on a journey of personal discovery and growth, my goal is to provide a supportive, understanding space where your unique stories can unfold.

I recognize how difficult it can be to open up someone you know little about, so I’d like to offer you a little bit about myself so that you can choose the therapist that best fits your needs. As an immigrant and woman of color I know what it’s like to feel misunderstood, to be both invisible and hypervisible at the same time. As an Arab and someone who identifies as Queer I have often struggled in finding my place within the mainstream narrative of American society. All of these experiences have taught me the importance of learning how to transform pain into meaning.

My approach is informed by modalities such as Narrative, Existential-Humanistic, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. This means that I view our relationship as a collaborative endeavor, where we work together to reframe narratives that may be limiting your growth. In integrating emotions into our therapy, I focus on understanding and navigating your emotional experiences as a key component of healing. Emotions are not just reactions but guideposts that can lead us toward deeper understanding and transformation. In these therapeutic approaches, I see you as the expert of your own life. My role is to support and guide you in discovering and reshaping the stories that influence how you perceive yourself and the world around you.

I acknowledge that personal growth follows a path unique to each individual. Rather than guaranteeing specific outcomes, my priority is to create a supportive space that fosters exploration and growth at your pace. I hope that our sessions together illuminate moments of clarity, understanding, and empowerment, enriching your relationship with yourself and others.

Being a part of your journey towards self-discovery and resilience is a privilege I hold dear. If anything you’ve read here speaks to you, I warmly invite you to reach out!
